A nativity scene. In a snow globe. Sometimes you receive a gift and it may not be your taste or style. But it’s July and it is on my mantel in the living room. This comes from a sweet person and was given with a loving heart. So at first you think you were going to put it with the Christmas decorations and bring it out once a year for a month. But then it reminds you of a random act of kindness from a stranger. Someone who doesn’t have a lot to give but who chose a gift that was extravagant. I don’t even know the presenter. I know who received it. Long story. But there is something about it. I watch the blue glittery specks snow on the Holy Family and think about how it came to be in my possession. I am not even putting up a poll, just wanted to share another item and how it came to be in my home.
You have so many wonderful stories. Thanks for sharing them.
Yes, beautiful story.
It’s clear there’s a lot more to this piece than what meets the eye – and *that* is a wonderful reminder; one I really needed to receive today. Thank you for that,
