You dust things in your house and reevaluate what you keep. And I don’t dust the things on the wall that much like I should. Or anything for that matter but when I was in college, I wrote to Ted Hendricks in the early seventies asking him for an old football jersey with his name on it. (same last name) Thought it was thrilling to receive his reply. I can remember. And he sent me this photo with a note. I put it in a little black drugstore frame and have moved it the 10 times I have moved in my adult life. It is on a wall with other photos and pictures. What to keep, what to pitch? I need to get a bit more serious in the pitch pile. But is is not that easy for me to part with “stuff”. So I looked him up and he’s only 5 years older than I am. Still alive! Don’t tell all the Steelers fans in Pittsburgh I have kept this memorabilia all these years. No poll today. I am not pitching it.
When I first saw the name, I thought perhaps this was your husband!
I agree, this one’s a keeper.
