Play-Doh Ice Cream Shoppe
My oldest granddaughter(7) said she really really wanted the Play-Doh Ice Cream Shoppe. I asked her, “Where do you buy such a thing? “Kroger. she said.
We don’t have Kroger around here but I bought it out in Ohio and brought it home to Pittsburgh in my car for when they were coming to visit.
Last Friday they were coming to Pittsburgh to stay over while Mom and Dad went to a wedding. She said they used to have it at their house but that her mom donated it to the church.
Well, I totally understand WHY they don’t have it in their house anymore. It was difficult to use and WHAT A GIANT MESS! I have put it away in a shopping bag, debating whether to trash it immediately after just the one session Friday night or save it cause if they come again they will be looking forward to making another wild mess with it at my house. Hmmmmm.
Pitch it. Unless you know of someone who has little kids who might enjoy it. PlayDoh is great but it’s a dime a dozen.
I would keep it for one more time. Just cover the table with a big old shower curtain or something. I LOVED stuff like this as a kid.
Those playdough factory deals are a horrible mess; and a creativity squasher. Let them play with playdough, but make their own creations – on a table covered with a vinyl cloth. 😉
